We really appreciate all your patience on getting this

There are some important bits of information that you need to
know as the hub city gp website has not yet been updated.
Registration information:
(8.20.2008) There are still plenty of spots open. If
all the spots are filled Saturday, I will send/post another
message Saturday afternoon.
Pits: We are not being charged for pit areas. We have an
entire parking lot set aside for just us. This year it's on the
inside of the track to eliminate the cross track communication
issues. All tow vehicles will have to be removed from the pit
area before practice begins.
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:
This is an exhibition event. It's a ton of fun for the riders
and the spectators. There are 3 trophies for each class. The
piece of plastic is not worth jeopardizing your fellow racer
with a dangerous move.
All eyes will be on us, if you have a problem with a fellow
racer we expect you to manage it discreetly and professionally.
Expect things to be dynamic at this event:
You may have signed up for "beginner" but you may be put in the
"expert" class. The labels on the classes are pretty meaningless
other than a label. It will be the same group of riders
regardless.
I will have grids for each class ready during practice. If you
come after the initial sign up, expect to be added to the back.
If you finish 26th in the heat race, expect that we will have
difficulty in ensuring that you get 26th and not 27th starting
spot for the main. If you are not on the front row, it really
doesn't matter. Get to whatever grid spot as quickly as
possible.
The crowds at this event will flock to the fences to see us
ride as they lover the show we put on. On the cool down laps,
please acknowledge the fans who are cheering for you.
Schedule:
FRIDAY, August 22th There is nothing for us on friday, but you may come and drop
your trailer in the pit area.
SATURDAY, August 23rd 07:00AM - 08:30AM: Registration Opens
07:00AM - 08:30AM: Pre-Race Tech/Scrutineering Opens
08:30AM: Riders's meeting at pre-grid area. Attendance is
Mandatory.
09:00AM: Track Opens for Practice. Our Race groups will be
within the kart practice session rotations.
This means that if you arrive after 9am, you will be taking
your chances on getting your bike and gear into the pit area.
You will be expected to sign in before you enter the track on
your bike, regardless of when you get there.
(1:30ish-5pm) Heat races will happen intermixed with karts.
We will have the race day schedule posted both saturday and
sunday. I do not know at this time if all the heats will be run
at this time or if some will happen on sunday am.
SUNDAY, August 24th
07:00AM - 08:30AM: Pre-Race Tech/Scrutineering Opens
09:00AM: Final practice rounds begins
12:00PM: Opening Ceremonies
12:30PM: Mains for all 3 classes.

Directions:
Traveling North on I-5
Take I-5 Exit 81 (Mellen Street exit).
Turn right and travel east (right hand turn from exit ramp) on
Mellen Street.
Mellen Street angles to the left and becomes Alder Street.
Travel three blocks on Alder until you come to Washington
Avenue.
Turn left onto Washington Avenue, and travel three blocks.
You will be at the southwest corner of the college.
Turn right onto Pear Street, and you will be on the south
perimeter of the campus.
Traveling South on I-5
Take I-5 Exit 82 (Harrison Street exit).
Turn left and travel east (left hand turn from exit ramp) on
Harrison Street.
Harrison Street angles to the right, then to the left, and
becomes Main Street.
Turn right from Main Street onto Rock Street.
Travel one block, and you will be at the northeast perimeter of
the campus.
Thursday 8/14/2008: Practice At Evergreen Speedway.
Practice runs from 1pm-7pm and the cost is $40. We have 5
practice groups: Quads, Mini's/Pee Wee, Slow, Medium, Fast
Sunday 8/16/2008 Race Day Schedule.

Update on Hub City GP: Monday 8/11 sign up should be available
at www.hubcitygp.com.
There are 3 classes we will be running: Amateur, Unlimited,
Expert. You can run 2 of 3 classes. Cost is $100.
Practice and Heats will be run on saturday. Sunday am will
have practice, then mains. We will be pitted on the inner
parking lot this year. All tow rigs have to be removed
from the pit area.

people watching, screaming and cheering for their favorite
rider.

While we had initially
reserved 6/15 as a race date at Pacific GP, obviously the
track is not ready for racing.
We are instead
hosting a practice day at Port Angeles Speedway.
Practice is from 10-6pm, cost is $35. Quads are
welcome as well. Come celebrate fathers day by riding
your supermoto bike with us.

Eastside
Motorsports Supermoto Challenge
This weekend brings
Supermoto Racing back to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA.
We are racing in conjunction with the annual Evergreen
Monster Truck Show. This is a Supermoto USA NW Series
pointed event and all classes are going to be run.
SMUSA
Membership is not required, unless you want points for the
season and access to contingency sponsors.
Friday 5/23 Schedule:
12-6pm: Open Practice
Cost is $40.
Team race following with huge trophies for the 1-3 place
teams in each class. Team race will be an additional $15 per
rider sign up at event. We will have a Expert/Amateur class
and a Amateur/Beg class for the guys that don't want to take
on the faster riders.
A supermoto team race is similar to an endurance race,
except there are mandatory rider changes at certain
intervals. 15 Minutes after the start, the white flag will
be shown and all riders must pit for a rider change. 15
minutes later, the process is repeated. Each rider will be
on the track for 2 sessions. Teams will be assigned for
every rider interested in participating.
Saturday 5/24
schedule :
11:30-1:15 sign up
1:30 practice
3-5pm Qualifiers and LCQ's
approx 7pm: All Mains will be run in between Monster Truck
Racing.
Saturday Pit Passes will be required by everyone and you
will purchase them at the Pit Entry for $15 Saturday
qualifiers will be set up on first come first serve.
Pro class has a $2,500 purse and pays down to 10th place.
All Supermoto USA NW
Series classes will be run, including Supermoto quads.
4/26/2008: MAC Attack Radio
Spot!!!!!
It's starting to be time to plan your trip for Mac Attack 1!
May 15-18th at "Mac Track" in McMinnville, Oregon.
There will be live radio and web coverage of the event on
Saturday and Sunday, and TV coverage will be recorded for later
play.
Listen to the Miles Around program on AM 970 from 9-11am on
Saturday in the Portland area for ticket and swag give away for

It was very exciting to hear our event being pitched while I was
listening to the radio this past saturday. Podcasts of the
Miles Around Program can be found on their website
Port Angeles Speedway is having open practice from 10am-Dark
on Sunday the 20th. Cost is $30 and all riders (including quads)
are welcome to participate.

3/12/2008: Next Event Details
So, we've had the kick off for the Portland area folks, let's
do it for Washington! March 30th we will be hosting a practice
day at the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe.
Practice details: 12-6pm.
Cost: $40 big bikes, $30 for mini's
We are starting later in the day since the early weather
prediction is light showers early am, drying by noon. We
want people to get as much full track time as possible without
having to sit around and wait for the track to dry.
Membership applications will also be available at the track.
We will split the groups based on skill level. Quads are welcome
as well!
There are still spots available in the trailer for hauling
bikes to the Stateline Supermoto Challenge. Cost is $200 per
bike. Trailer will be loaded after practice on the 30th
and head directly to the track in Primm, NV. Questions?

3/2/2008: Winter Blast Details
Supermoto USA - NW is organizing this years Winter Blast in coordination with the NW Mini group and we have a number of activities planned for the day.
Of course you'll be out on track for open group practice to knock off those winter cob webs, but we'll also have practice starting sessions, an eliminator dash (aka dash for cash), and topping it all off is the 2007 Championship awards presentation.
It's going to be a complete Blast! Come on out and spend the day tearing up the track!
Is one practice day not enough? Well plan on staying the night and join the NW-Mini crew for some racing on Sunday.
If you want to stick around a race sunday, it's only $25 for all
the classes you can ride. You'll want to check their web site for more details.

Winter Blast details:
March 8, 2008 9AM-Dark at McMinnville's MAC Track. Awards will be presented at
1pm for both the 2007 NW Regional Series and the 2007 Washington
Series. The Winter Blast fees are will be handled by the NW Mini/ PKA club.
The practice day fee is $25 for everyone who comes out to practice. Non racers will be charged a $10 pit pass fee which is good for both Saturday and Sunday. Children under 4 are free and over night camping is going to run $15.
We will have license applications available at the facility
and will be handing out copies of the 2008 Season Schedule.
2/12/2008: 2007 Season Championship Season Review
If by some reason you didn't catch it in the video, or if you're behind a crap firewall at work, you missed Ryan Pugh's domination of every Supermoto USA – Northwest class he entered. He pegged the meter in the overall points Championship with his monstrous 100 point lead, he took home more cash in the Open Money class, blew by everyone in the Unlimited class, and did it all with his commanding set of wins in the over Vet +30 class. Not only did Ryan and his wicked fast Hinshaw's sponsored KTM 610 pull the coveted Championship spot in the Northwest, but he put in some serious contender runs in the AMA Pro races he ran. Congratulations to the 2007 overall series Champion, Ryan Pugh! Give him a hug next time you see him, he hates it...
We had a number of other serious Championship runs this past year as well that can't go without mention.
In the super competitive 450 class, Bret Fladseth, of Eastside Motosports pulled in the 450 Championship win on his Yamaha YZF450 over the up and coming Jacob Lehman running his Honda CRF450. Brett Hoxie finished in the 3rd place position on his Yamaha.
The one class that brings more racers, parents, and fans to the edge of their seats and closer to the rail is when they are watching the next generation of racers competing in the Peewee class. The young racers, with parents in tow, always put in a super effort and give it their all. The Peewee class in 2007 was awesome! 23 up and coming racers competed this past year with Blake Deilke taking home the #1 plate and Championship winning title. On his tail at every race were Zach Johnson, Nick Myers, Jamari Suazo-West, and Dylan Hunter. You all did great!
In the always hotly contested Open Amateur class, 2007 saw a close race for the Championship by two fast guys racing for Eastside Motosports. In the end, Brett Hoxie edged out the season winning position by just 4 points over Jeremy Johanson. Wow! The entire Eastside team put down some super fast laps this past year on their pack of Yamaha YZF's! Paul Lammer, also running a Yamaha, finished a slim 8 points back, keeping the fight for 1st in this class tight up to the final race of the year.
Supermoto JR was a new class for the 2007 Northwest season, and it didn't go unnoticed or uncontested. The top position in this new class for young riders went to Kamaron Blake, with John Brown in close tow. Cole Frederickson, who had a couple of mishaps during the season, came back strong to finish out the year with a solid 3rd place position. Kyle Blake(4th) and Jeremy Lehman(5th), who followed in points, will certainly be strong contenders in the upcoming season.
The 250(400f) class saw a huge increase in the number of riders in 2007! Paul Lammer and his Yamaha YZF250 took it all in stride and put down a dominating points lead at the end of the season to take the overall top position in the 250(400f) class. Somehow he makes it look all too easy. Jeremy Johanson, Terry Holloway, Ron West, and Cole Frederickson finished out the top 5 in this fast growing, super hot class.
The Pit Bike class made its introduction in 2007 as well and drew in some new racers. Garrett Welzien took the class by storm early in the season on his super fast, slightly modified Honda CRF50 and didn't look back. The Blake brothers, Kamaron and Kyle, kept Garret on his toes while putting in their own solid efforts to finish the season in 2nd and 3rd. Blake Deilke(4th) and Nick Myers(5th) round out the top 5.
The Mini Moto class was turned upside down in 2007 with John Brown on his Suzuki DRZ125 taking the points lead early in the year leaving the rest to hunt him down. Mark Russell and Walter Myers relentlessly chased him and the points, but by season end couldn't beat the consistent runs put in by Brown.

Let's get started with some long time coming news on what's happening out at Pacific Raceways.
We've been in contact with the track developers and they are
getting set to announce when the grand opening will be in the
next few weeks. In the meantime, keep an eye on their

What's the deal with Awards from 2007?
Well, we dropped the ball in getting the awards done during
the WHR Arenacross season. We are still looking for a good
source to build our awards, and a place to hold the event. We
may hold off on giving the awards away until the Winter Blast
(date tdb)
1/6/2008: What the plan is for the Supermoto
USA NW series for 2008?
2007 was (another) learning year for us. We figured out
that the split series simply didn't work out the way we had
hoped. Not to worry though, we are regrouping and coming
up with a plan for 2008. The executive board is meeting
next week to finalize the rulebook changes and plan for 08.
