Supermoto USA NW 2009 Awards Ceremony, Saturday Dec 12
8am
So, what are you doing this Saturday?
Have you ever been to one of those stuffy awards
ceremonies where people get all dressed up to sip on
some mystery wine and schmooze with some jaw-bone you
dont even know?
Or have you ever had to listen to some stuffed sausage
gloat as they get an award while you sit there showing
everybody your awesome golf clap skills which you've
been using to cleverly disguise just how bored out of
your skull you really are?
Well, we are putting on a ceremony, but at Supermoto USA
NW, thats not the way we roll.
This Saturday, our awards ceremony will involve actually
riding your motorcycle, rubbing some elbows, and talking
some serious trash.
Yes, we are going to give away awards so expect some
clapping, but
more importantly, you will get to ride your motorcycle
on an arenacross track exclusively with other supermoto
riders.
Your rain tires will work just fine, but if you have a
set of knobs they''ll
work just a bit better. And on a special note, we have
it that Lee is going to keep the track supermoto
friendly.
So plan on coming out to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds
this Saturday morning.
If you only want to watch, that's cool -- there's no
admission fee. If you want to ride its only $30.
For the riders, you will get 4 hours of seat time and
free admission to the arenacross event that afternoon
and evening.
Times: December 12, 8 am-noon.
Location: Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Bull Arena
(entry is on the same side as the main entrance for the
fairgrounds, but one drive way past).

9/5/2009, Pacific GP Sept
12/13
The Supermoto USA NW 2009 Series is hitting the home stretch. Our last event at Pacific GP for the 2009 season is setup
for Sept 12th and 13th.
As many of you know, the economic crisis has hit pretty much everyone very hard, including our tracks, our sponsors and
our promoters. We are asking you to help keep our sport going. We need a show of force to keep all these businesses
that help us race to stay viable, so we can continue to race next season.
We are looking at the possibility of adding one final event for October at a new (to us) facility on the dry side of washington.
Look for an announcement on monday or tuesday with details either way.
Here is the schedule for the event:
Saturday: 9/12
9-5pm: Open Practice on south course with dirt section.
We will be running the entire class list, include Open Quad and Quad Pro.
Pricing:
1. SMUSA Membership recommended, but not required unless season points wanted.
2. Big bike/quad: 1st class: $60, 2nd Class: $30, 3rd class +: $10
3.

8/19/2009, Round 6
Evergreen Speedway, Monroe WA: Thursday 8/27
Just a quick update on the Monroe round:
1. We will be entering the facility from the "blue"
gate. This is the normal back dirt road route around the
speedway. Watch for the "Supermoto Pit Area" signs to
direct you from the main street.
2. The back gate will be closed at 5pm.
If you have guests/family coming in, make sure they get
in before 5pm. Otherwise, they will have to park outside
(and pay for it) and also pay for general fair admission
(instead of $10 gate fee through us).
If you have any questions, let me know.
The daily schedule remains the same otherwise:

Evergreen Speedway, Monroe WA: Thursday 8/27
The Supermoto USA NW Series switches things up a bit for round 6 of the 2009 season. Thursday August 27th is the opening day
of the Evergreen State Fair and we are a big part of the kick off of this event.
Spectators in the grand stands will be able to watch for free. Also, purchasing a pit pass entitles you to
free entry to the fair itself!
Couple huge crowds with a rider based track layout (we are moving the dirt sections on to some of the pavement),
a good time is guaranteed to be had by all.
Since we are never content on track layout, expect us to build a track that mixes in all the elements that
makes our sport so much fun to participate in.
Did I mention this is a THURSDAY afternoon/night race?
So let the boss know you are coming down with a case of the racing fever!
We are aware that having a Thursday race may cause a few complications for people to get to the track at a certain time,
and want to do every thing we can to get you out to this event. If you need us to make special
accommodations (like maybe you wont be able to arrive
until after practice) please let myself or Lee know so we can make sure you get taken care of.

2009 Season update:
It has been a while since we did an update and everyone wants
to know what's going on with the schedule. Well, it's
April 17th and we only have a few solid dates booked. The
hold up is wanting to schedule events at
Pacific GP. This is
going to be an excellent facility that should completely paved
in the next couple of weeks. As soon as pavement is down,
there will be a schedule done.
For those of you who have sent in membership forms, we have
them but we wanted to confirm the schedule before processing
them.
Other groups that we as riders should be supporting (and we
as an organization are scheduling around):
United RPM The
supermoto group out of Vancouver BC. It is our intention to have
a Can/AM mini series with them as soon as we get our schedule
done.
Spokane Supermoto.
Randy from KDRPowersports is working his butt off to get
practices and races scheduled for the folks on the east side of
the mountains. We've added information about the facility
in Spokane on the tracks page.
Tri Cities Karting. The
facility at Horn Rapids is available for practices for those on
the east side of the mountains. We've added information
about the facility in Tri Cities on the
tracks page.
Oregon
Superbikers: While we aren't planning on running any events
in Oregon this year, this doesn't mean there isn't a vibrant
supermoto community between Mac Track and Pat's Acres.
Oregon Superbikers is taking the ball and running with it for all
those riders.

1/22/2009: Supermoto vs Metal
Mulisha:
Since it's the offseason (and a group of us were invited) we
loaded up 10 guys and head to the Hooker Creek Event Center in
Redmond, Oregon to be the side show for the FMX Challenge /
Metal Mulisha show. We had a good group of guys who could show
the crowd a sampling of supermoto. Everyone represented
the sport well and a good time was had by all. The Metal
Mulisha guys were super fun to hang with to. We even sent a few
of them out on our bikes for practice sessions.
Tom Stein put together a great video montage of some of the
racing:
